Publications and Presentations

Education conferences and other events have given me the opportunity to share my thoughts about technology in the classroom. This is one of my favorite presentations. The use of technology in learning must be meaningful and help learners expand their capabilities. If you’d like to read the text version, you can find it on the Unfold Learning blog.

A while back, I was asked to share my work on Scrum in schools on EdSurge. This framework, originally developed for the software industry, helps teachers and students navigate the pitfalls of team projects. It helps students communicate and reflect upon their work. I have written a more detailed post for our Unfold Learning site as well.

Since taking up macro photography, I have created several books, mostly for children, featuring some of my photos and videos.

Calling Nature: macro photography and the iPhone

Tiny Meals: what bugs eat

The Lady and the Aphid: a tale of two bugs
